Drainfield Installation
Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Ocala
The drainfield is where treated effluent from the tank soaks back into the soil, and it is the most expensive part of a septic system to replace. Soundsforsynth builds and rebuilds both gravel trench and plastic chamber (gravelless) fields across Ocala, sized from the perc rate so the soil can absorb the flow without surfacing or backing up.
Why Drainfields Fail
Most failing fields trace back to overload and neglect. A tank that is never pumped lets solids drift out and clog the soil pores. A settled distribution box floods one trench and drowns it while the others sit unused. Compaction from vehicles, root intrusion, and a high water table all shorten field life. When effluent surfaces or drains slow throughout the house, the field is usually the culprit.
Our Process
We evaluate the existing system, confirm the perc rate, and design a replacement field that fits your lot and passes the Marion County permit. We excavate the trenches, lay perforated pipe on washed gravel or set chambers, level everything to grade, and connect a new distribution box so every lateral gets an even share. Then we backfill, restore the surface, and pass inspection.
